On Saturday, June 17th, at the amphitheater of Domotel Kastri Hotel, the first Symposium of

the newly established Hellenic Society of Nuclear Cardiology was successfully held, under

the organization of the Society's president and Director of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, Dr. Maria Koutelou.

The main theme of the event was the imaging of the heart with radiopharmaceuticals,

specifically focusing on the investigation of ischemia, inflammation, sarcoidosis, and

amyloidosis. It is worth mentioning that, for the first time, information was presented

regarding new and anticipated radiopharmaceuticals, revolutionary modern imaging

devices, and breakthrough therapies.

This event marks the first step towards the main goal of the Hellenic Society of Nuclear

Cardiology, which is to create a bridge of collaboration and knowledge exchange among

nuclear physicians, cardiologists, and all those involved in cardiac imaging.

It is of great symbolic interest that the event and the establishment of the society coincide

with the 50th anniversary of the first application of radiopharmaceuticals in the heart.

We warmly thank our speakers and moderators, the sponsoring companies for their

generous support, and all of you for your active participation during the event.

You will soon be informed about the upcoming activities of the Hellenic Society of Nuclear

Cardiology.
